After many years of suffering roof drainage/water leaks from a sunlounge joined onto a house ( & numerous contractors) we appear to have had it solved by Prestige Roof Ltd. They came up with proposals for an innovative roof/drainage system & talked us through all the stages with the help of AI generated images. The result? We were very pleased with the work carried out by Prestige Roof Limited on our property In March 2026. They removed the old spray foam roof insulation, repairing timbers that had been damaged by it, retiling where needed and replacing the roof membrane and ridge tiles. They carried out this work in the time frame that they said they would. The crew was courteous and kept us informed of progress with numerous photos of the roof work, they also cleared up after themselves. I recently suffered from a leak in my bedroom and was really worried about the condition of my roof. I contacted Prestige Roof Ltd to carry out a full roof MOT on my property, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I got in touch with them, the whole experience was professional and reassuring. The team came out promptly and carried out a very thorough inspection of the roof. They took the time to clearly explain what they were looking at and showed me the areas that had deteriorated. They also explained what a damaged or failing roof looks like, which really helped me understand the problem rather than just being told I needed repairs. After the inspection, they provided me with a fully detailed report along with a clear quotation, which was very helpful and transparent. The office staff were absolutely lovely to deal with—friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions I had. The workers who attended the property were fantastic as well. They were polite, respectful, and worked very professionally throughout the visit. Luke, the owner of Prestige Roof Ltd, clearly knows his trade. He took the time to talk everything through with me and made sure I understood what needed to be done. He was very kind, honest, and genuinely made me feel like he cared about helping me solve the problem rather than just doing a job. Overall, I had a brilliant experience with Prestige Roof Ltd. The service was professional, honest, and very thorough from start to finish. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs roofing advice, an inspection, or repairs. Fast and efficient service, this must have been a one off? from quote to completion, including scaffolding 3 days. Inspection and quote on Wednesday, scaffold arrived Thursday and job started and finished on Friday. This was for new roof membrane, new battens cleaned and replaced tiles, as well as a complete new flat roof rubber covering and lagged loft as well for good measure. Left early Friday evening and apart from the skip of rubbish I would not have know they had been, all clean and tidy as promised. A big thank you to James and his crew for an excellent job.

My cavity wall insulation is causing damp. Can it be fixed?
Yes. Old insulation (like white wool or foam) can slump or bridge the cavity, drawing rain from the outside wall to the inside. We use a vacuum extraction method to remove the old material and clear the cavity. Once the cavity is clear, the walls can dry out naturally, stopping the damp.
Will I need planning permission for a new roof?
Generally, no. Re-roofing falls under "Permitted Development" as long as you aren't raising the roof height or changing the material significantly (e.g., from slate to tiles) in a Conservation Area. If permission is needed, we can help guide you through the process.
Do you work in bad weather?
We monitor the forecast closely. We can strip and felt a roof in sections to ensure it remains watertight overnight. However, for safety reasons, we cannot work on roofs during high winds or heavy, continuous rain. If we need to delay for weather, we will keep you informed every step of the way.
How do I know if I need a new roof or just a repair?
You don't always need a new roof. If the damage is localized (e.g., a few slipped tiles or a minor leak in a valley), a repair is often sufficient. However, if the roof is sagging, over 50 years old, or has multiple leaks appearing in different places, a replacement might be more cost-effective in the long run. We will always give you an honest assessment, we never sell you a new roof if a repair will do.
Will you take away the rubbish?
Yes. We are licensed waste carriers. Whether it’s old roof tiles, dug-up concrete, or garden waste, we remove everything from your site and dispose of it responsibly at recycling centers. We aim to leave your property tidier than we found it.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
We generally do not ask for full payment upfront. For larger projects (like a new roof), we may require a small deposit to book the dates and cover initial materials. The final balance is only due once the work is completed and you are satisfied.
